About Tommy Urbanski:

I am originally from Poland,Came to London for the first time in Jan ’99 to get some records to my then growing collection.

I got stuck in London until October 2001 when I went back to Poland and started DJ’ing for living. All around Poland and western Europe. I did that under a different DJ name I decided to leave for London again in 2004 and I have been living here since.

I had a few gigs in London but then I took a few years break caused by the hectic rat race style of living in the big city.

In December 2009 I have started to be creative again.I came across tranceMix then & decided to give it a try with my District9 mix, which had 2916 downloads since.

Ben and TranceMix have influenced and motivated me the most.

This one of our best trance mixes for starting your day. In the first part we start off with a trance mix tribute to trance legends the Thrillseekers. It’s full of such beautiful melodies and vocals that will really ease you into your day, great to sing a long to as well. The Thrillseekers remix of autumn tactics is one of my favorites out of the mix, super atmospheric.

Then DJ Fubar takes it home with a banging classic trance mix to really energize you and your day. During the vocals of the first tune, “Angel”, the wind started to rush into the house, adding even more drama to an already dramatic mix. All we need now is a thunder storm " />

About Ric Mansur:

Electronic Dance Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a kid going to school every morning listening to the local dance station dancing to every beat. From ATB’s “9PM Till I Come” and Chicane’s “Don’t Give Up” to Solarstone’s “Seven Cities” and the “Euphoria” compilation series, this music has clearly had a huge impact in my life.

But it wasn’t until 2004 that I discovered Tiesto and the sound of Trance and became instantly hooked. After going through every chapter of Tiesto’s Magik and ISOS compilations, I was inevitably lured into the sounds of Armin’s A State of Trance, Above and Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Andy Moor and the like.

That’s when it hit me that Trance was the style i had been searching for and where my heart belonged to. However after being introduced to the ever-evolving Progressive side of House music thanks to amazing labels such as Anjunadeep, Proton, Silk, Apollo, Mango Alley and many others, I have expanded my taste from purely uplifting Trance to a deeper sounding which I combine in my sets and will carve my own signature sound in the process.

Now after over 5 years of closely experiencing the scene evolve first-hand, I’ve acquired enough experience to start putting my own mixes together of what I think is the absolute best this music has to offer. The result is Music with Feeling.

Born in Mexico City in 1988, Julio began his DJ career in 2011, leaving behind everything he used to do.

Julio started this trip half a year ago after he made the best decision of my life, to leave the college where he was studying and begin to study Music Production. When i was young he used to listen many genres of electronic music but trance has something that always takes him to a special place. That’s the reason why he decided to play trance in order to help the people “go into a trance” this is the theme of his weekly mix (Go Into A Trance). I started DJ’ing when I was 19 after my grandfather bought me my first pair of belt drive decks. I’d always wanted a pair and now I had them I had no idea how to use them. Pretty much for the next two years me and the turntables were inseparable. I taught myself how to beat match, count bars, beat drop etc.. (Internet wasn’t as widely used then so I couldn’t just Google it). Whenever I got paid I bought records, mainly from HTFR (as they were the biggest).. Then later on places like Juno and 8 Ball records (in the USA).

By the time I was 22 I was pretty confident on the decks (confident to play in front of a live crowd, which takes balls first few times). The only issue was I loved both Trance and Funky House the two main dance styles at the time. It was costing me a fortune to keep up to date with all the most recent releases so I knew I had to make a decision one way or the other…. After loads of thought I chose Trance.. And I’ve never regretted it…

This week we’re doing it again with some more uplifting trance, this time its from Rodman, a good friend of Avian who we featured 2 weeks ago (those 2 weeks went fast!).

Mix Description:

Rodman’s Trance With Me trance mix is split into 2 parts. The first part is going to be of a higher BPM and more progressive and uplifting, and the second part will be more melodic and vocal trance. 

About DJ Rodman:

DJ Rodman (or you can call him by his real name Rodman) born, raised, and currently residing in Sydney, Australia at the age of only 21, has created and passionately worked on his persona as a Trance DJ through years and years of dedicated interest and love for Trance, Progressive, Uplifting and even some Progressive House and Trouse music over many many years.

How it all started – he bought himself a second-hand mixer from a friend of a friend less than 12 months ago, locked himself in his room for weeks and weeks until he taught himself skills in Ableton, Traktor, Torq, which then led to him feeling the urge to get his feelings out to everyone he knew and more through the music he loved so much.

Having listened to and collected the A State of Trance show since the 334th episode, as well as Gareth Emery Podcasts and Global DJ Broadcasts’ for months and months, he has trained himself a confident ear to lead him to creating his very own podcast show. He is currently the resident DJ on Sydney’s “Eve Darling Harbour Cruises” and has appeared at many private parties, local Trance events as well as University bar gigs…leading to the establishment of his University Trance Society

The likes of Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Orjan Nilsen, TyDi and many many other spectacular artists have not only shaped his view of music as he sees it, and here he is now sending out his love and passion through the music waves.

About Ric Mansur:

Electronic Dance Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a kid going to school every morning listening to the local dance station dancing to every beat. From ATB’s “9PM Till I Come” and Chicane’s “Don’t Give Up” to Solarstone’s “Seven Cities” and the “Euphoria” compilation series, this music has clearly had a huge impact in my life.

But it wasn’t until 2004 that I discovered Tiesto and the sound of Trance and became instantly hooked. After going through every chapter of Tiesto’s Magik and ISOS compilations, I was inevitably lured into the sounds of Armin’s A State of Trance, Above and Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Andy Moor and the like.

That’s when it hit me that Trance was the style i had been searching for and where my heart belonged to. However after being introduced to the ever-evolving Progressive side of House music thanks to amazing labels such as Anjunadeep, Proton, Silk, Apollo, Mango Alley and many others, I have expanded my taste from purely uplifting Trance to a deeper sounding which I combine in my sets and will carve my own signature sound in the process.

Now after over 5 years of closely experiencing the scene evolve first-hand, I’ve acquired enough experience to start putting my own mixes together of what I think is the absolute best this music has to offer. The result is Music with Feeling.

Alright party people! It’s time to welcome yet another new DJ to the decks: Avian. Avian hails from Sydney, Australia and is here to take you through 2 hours of intense trance music. You will notice an operatic and symphonic theme running through these two sets, an element that just makes this show feel so BIG.

I mixed the names of the two mixes, “Revelation” and “Abyss”, to come up with the title “Revelations in the Abyss”. That title is meant to convey the message that, when you’re feeling down and out (in an Abyss),  to take a step back and look at what’s causing this abyss in an objective fashion. When you do that, you are likely to have “A HA!” moments when you have a revelation, a revelation that i the key which unlocks the prison that is, the abyss.

Earlier in the week I shared with you, a KickStarter project from Levi Whalen. I would like to congratulate him on reaching, and going over his goal of rasing $5,000 to produce is debut album! That’s a massive achievement, and a massive inspiration to all the aspiring producers out there. If you’re a producer and want to follow in Levi’s footsteps, I highly suggest you do, the worst that can happen is that you wont reach your fundraising goal, which is simply feedback, you can’t lose.

Hey everyone here is the third episode of my podcast. Getting some great feedback so I stepped it up a bit this week to make sure I don’t disappoint anyone.

Here is the fourth instalment of my podcast. Those who have listened to my previous episodes will soon realise this one is a bit different to any of the earlier episodes.

About the DJ:

Avian is an emerging trance DJ residing in Sydney, Australia. A dedicated trance fan for years, Avian first took his place behind the decks no more than 6 months ago and has quickly developed a thorough understanding of the do’s and dont’s of a DJ – much to the surprise of DJ’s around him.

Avian’s love affair with trance goes as far back as ASOT 250, and has thus witnessed the evolution of the sounds of trance which has taken place over the years. These new sounds have been embraced by Avian and he incorporates this into his song selection, but never forgets where it all began for him by dropping the occasional classic too.

Avian is adamant that trance as a genre is misunderstood by music fans from other genres, and has made it his primary objective to educate EDM fans from all genres as to the beauty of trance, or as Avian puts it “Modern day classical music”.

As a spinner with a profusion of behind-the-decks experience, RAM delivers his vibrant, impassioned sets weekly in the country’s major clubs. Mixing uplifting trance with tech, elec and vocals, it’s an inimitable sound-style that has won him a hard core of Dutch fans.

This hybrid grew out of his enduring residency at TranceBuddha – the canal-side, in-the-know synth Mecca for native trance-heads. As his name began to catch, he went on to launch the Club Déjà vu events. And now in 2011 is focused at his residency on Grotesque (and organising) – the Netherlands’ busiest regular trance clubnight.

In tandem with this he’s launched the Grotesque radio show, which goes out on Afterhours FM and additionally mixes his monthly Grotesque Podcast. And the upcoming Grotesque compilation serie. 2011 he’s also starting his other residency at the Metropolitan nights...

About Vicky Wood:

 Vicky grew up in Birmingham, England. In the early days was inspired by countless nights at Sanctuary Nightclub when GodsKitchen started to take off. Having moved away in early 2000 she took a semi-break from the EDM scene for a few years, but that wasn’t to last too long. With internet radio becoming more popular she discovered the love for EDM all over again, but it wasn’t until 2004 until she thought about DJing.

Now in 2011 she has the show ‘Connected’ at AH.FM on the 2nd & 4th Friday’s of the month & the Weekly Essentials Podcast syndicated on a number of radio stations & available to subscribe in iTunes, playing her favourites from the world of electronic dance music. After having a mashup played on ASOT 345, she has been slowly learning production techniques & is currently working in a collaboration project on new original material.

This year we are back and better than ever. Lots of things happening this year! Andrew Shepard, a native of Canada, has been DJing since the tender age of 13 years. First started out in his bedroom, then he made his way into weddings, school dances and corporate functions… Now he plays in clubs, underground parties and has the occasional promo set.

Greetings folks! Andrew Shepard here! I hope you all had a great 2011, I am thankful that the year finally came to end, not saying it was a bad year, but it certainly wasn’t a great year for me… But on the plus side, I have many great new fans, and great listeners! Now to start off the new year with a mixset of mine .

In the 2nd hour of this set, you will hear my personal favourites of 2011… If you’ve been an avid listener of mine, you will recognize some of these tunes as well .

I’ve spent a large amount of time working on this arrangement (going back all the way into October), and this one is very personal to me. The theme for this mix set is “Winter Dreams”, and also, “Love”. Whether it’s the one you love dearly in your life, or the one you haven’t met yet. I feel that there is someone out there for all of us, some may have found them, I however, have not.

So as you sit back and listen, get lost in your emotions and your thoughts, enjoy it. Life is short, life is fragile. This one is for the girl I will spend the rest of my life with, but haven’t met yet…

The end of the year is near, time for our End of Year Mix. This one does not pull any punches and brings you a variety of styles from all around the world: First up, all the way from Australia, is Brioni Faith’s new single “In the Dark”, dedicated to all those feeling down during this “merry” part of the year. Then, from England, it’s Quade77, with their incredible mix of trance with a hint of psy and even metal.
